Cast iron repair glue is called iron repair agent. It is a high-performance polymer metal material obtained by compounding a variety of alloy materials and modified toughened heat-resistant resins. It is suitable for repairing gray iron, ductile iron and other casting defects, as well as wear and corrosion of parts , The repair of cracks, the color after repair is basically the same as the substrate, it has high strength, and excellent wear resistance, corrosion resistance and aging resistance. It can be processed together with the substrate. Cast iron repair glue is a two-component, clay-like, room temperature curing polymer resin glue. It is suitable for the repair of casting pores, blisters, cracks or processing errors after machining. The cured material has high hardness, no shrinkage, and can be processed by various machines. It has good comprehensive performance and high bonding strength with metal; it has excellent performances such as wear resistance, aging resistance, water resistance, and various chemical corrosion resistance, and can withstand high temperatures of 168°C. So, how much do you know about its brushing process and precautions? Follow the editor to have a simple understanding!
1. Brushing process
1. Surface treatment: remove the loose material on the surface of the substrate, use sandblasting, electric grinding wheel, wire brush or coarse sandpaper to polish to improve the roughness of the repaired surface, and then wipe with a cleaning agent to clean the contact surface.
2. Glue: The cast iron repair glue is composed of two components A and B. When using, mix the main agent A and curing agent B in strict accordance with the specified ratio until the color is uniform, and use it within the specified usable time. .
3. Coating: Spread the mixed cast iron repair glue on the surface of the treated substrate, apply uniform force when applying, and press repeatedly to ensure that the material is in full contact with the surface of the substrate. The first layer should be compacted to make it fully wetted with the substrate. If machining needs to be done later, a proper amount of machining allowance should be left.
4. Curing: When the temperature is lower than 25℃, the curing time can be extended appropriately. When the temperature is lower than 15℃, use an appropriate heat source for heating (infrared, electric furnace, etc.), but do not directly touch the repaired part when heating, and operate correctly The heat source is more than 40cm away from the repaired surface, and keep it at 60~80℃ for 2~3 hours.
2. Matters needing attention
1. The unused components A and B are sealed and stored separately for reuse next time.
2. The contaminated glue can not be put into the original packaging tank, so as not to affect the performance of the remaining glue in the tank.
3. Keep away from children.
4. It is irritating to the skin and eyes. It is recommended to use it in a well-ventilated place.
5. If you accidentally contact your eyes and skin, wipe it off immediately and rinse with water.
